This book deserves to be in my blog because it was one of the lucky books which became one of my favorites. I've read this years ago. I think it was December two years ago. 2012? I was in my room, alone, trying to know what I did to deserve such achingly beautiful story.
John Green wrote this amazing book. He has other books too like Looking For Alaska (remind me to blog about that one, too), Paper Towns (I bought this book a year after I read it because I need to have my own copy but someone borrowed it so I haven't read it yet for the 2nd time) and Abundance of Katherines.
Back to the book... aside from being such a tear-jerker, this book is beautifully written. It has words that make you grab your dictionary because you don't wanna be lost. Lost. That's another great word to describe how I felt while reading this book. I just feel like I was Hazel Grace and there were times that I felt like Augustus Waters.
Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters were the main character of the story although I'd like to bluntly add Isaac because he is my favorite character. I cried during the part wherein there was this Last Good Day of Augustus Waters where there was a live ceremony for his death (I can't believe I forgot the term for it). Then during that time, Hazel Grace said her eulogy and about their you know, little infinity. Then there's Isaac who just said he wouldn't want to put on robot eyes because he won't be seeing Gus anymore and come on if that doesn't touch you, I don't know what will.
So yeah, it wasn't a love triangle. I guess you already knew this if you've watched the movie. I'm not going to talk about the movie here. Just the book. What else? I bet Hectic Glow is a nice band and Imperial Affliction would be another tear-jerking book.
I have a lot of favorite parts in this book but I don't want to mention them. It will spoil some people who haven't read it.
