To All The Boys I've Loved Before - Jenny Han |
So what's up with this book? First of all, the cover is just perfect. I mean look at it, so simple but really classy. Jenny Han is the author. She have other books which I've never read before. I guess they're all good, too.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before is about Lara Jean (cute name) who wrote letters to the boys she had a crush on before but never sent it. She kept in the box for years until one day, someone sent those letters to these guys without Lara's permission. So I think you know what happened next. There were confrontations and a lot of disasters for this teenage girl. But in the end, nah I am not going to mention anything BUT I need a sequel to this one or else Jenny Han is going to owe a lot in the world.
I'm not going to say that this is one of the best books I've read but I enjoyed it while I was reading it. I felt a lot of emotions like annoyance and other stuff to different characters so meaning the writing was effective (for me).
Here are some of my favorite lines in the book:
“You'd rather make up a fantasy version of somebody in your head than be with a real person.” That would probably say a lot about me right now. Wait. Not really. Okay. Whatever.
“You only like guys you don't have a chance with, because you're scared.” ha ha ha ha ha
“Do you think there's a difference? Between belonging with and belonging to?” For me, there is. I belong to God then I belong with the person God is settling with me soon.
“It feels strange to have spent much time wishing for something, for someone and then one day, suddenly,to just stop” Strange but you'd thank yourself for the moment when you finally stopped.
